What is Mktforge?
Mktforge is a free AI tool that drafts a company's marketing foundation — positioning, messaging, customer personas, and go-to-market materials — starting from nothing more than its website. It's built for founders and early-stage marketing teams who need these fundamentals in place quickly, without hiring an agency or a full marketing team.
Is Mktforge really free?
Yes. Mktforge is free to use and has no paid tiers. The only cost is AI usage — billed by your own provider when you bring your own API key, or covered by us if you request free hosted access.
What does "bring your own API key" mean?
Mktforge doesn't bundle AI credits — you connect an API key from your AI provider (currently, only Anthropic is supported), and Mktforge uses it to run its modules. You pay that provider directly for usage, keep control of your own account and spend, and your key is never shared or resold.
What do I need to get started?
A website URL and an API key. Mktforge reads your site to understand your product, market, and customers, then uses that as the starting point for every module.
What does Mktforge generate?
Mktforge produces the core marketing documents most early companies are missing: customer personas, positioning statements, messaging frameworks, competitive battle cards, and other go-to-market materials. Each module builds on the others, so the personas inform the positioning, and the positioning informs the messaging and sales materials. Outputs are generated as editable documents and downloadable PDFs.
How long does it take?
